I think techstream has 4 major componentsĢ.the scantool (perform tests on failing parts) / live data / trouble codes (and download definitions straight from toyota instead of having to google for them at 3rd party or indirect sources).ģ.vehicle settings and customizations (like turning off the DRL).Ĥ.ecu reprogramming (this is very hazardous) / program chipped keys and wireless remotes Toyota has modified the Techstream software to use the J2534 standard for a majorityĢ days is a really short amount of time to use all of this. Hopefully there are some easter eggs I don't know about. They said in the FAQ there is like 2,000 functions. There's also something called Identifix Direct-Hit, Bluedriver also has it.
It's another diagnostic tool toyota techs use, could be really helpful from the looks of it.
